Classic markets

Classic markets have a fixed resolution time. Trading closes before resolution to prevent last-minute manipulation.

• Use classic markets for events with clear deadlines.
• Pricing curve: CPMM.
• Current minimum duration: 72 hours from creation.

Perpetual markets

Perpetual markets do not end at a fixed date. They stay active and may be reset periodically based on governance rules.

• Use perpetual markets for ongoing questions and long-term sentiment.
• Pricing curve: CPMM.
• Resets can pause trading and snapshot positions.

Classic and Perpetual are both CPMM and now share the same 24-step isolated class ladder in create flow.

• Classic create uses a spend slider and auto-selects from 24 classes: 10M, 20M, 30M, 50M, 70M, 100M, 150M, 200M, 250M, 300M, 450M, 600M, 750M, 900M, 1.2B, 1.5B, 1.8B, 2.25B, 2.7B, 3.6B, 4.5B, 6.0B, 7.5B, 9.0B (one-sided cap in WBASED).
• Perpetual create uses the same slider and class ladder, isolated-only.
• Each cap is one-sided per outcome: YES and NO have the same independent limit.
